she is a temp at my work so i cant ask her out officially for another month or so (when she is leaving) so i was wondering if i should invite her to a party im throwing next week. i thought that way we would get to know each other outside of work. Or would it be better to to keep being charming and ask her out once she is about to stop working with me.

Why not? Whats the harm in inviting someone you're interested in to see your life outside of work. Besides there will be many people there so its not a date.
I would say as long as you are not her boss then there is no reason not to invite a fellow co-worker to a shindig you're having. But then again if she is the only one from work you would be inviting then I would suggest no.

Sure, ask her, no better way and safer for you both, than a social gathering. You two can get to know each other better, without the stress of a first date.

i think so tell her to bring one of her girlfriends to and then you can see how well she meshes with your friends or if she will have fun doing the same thing you like to do or you can tell if she will just sit there and be like a bump on a log - you may find out shes not even worth your time but defin. ask her to bring one of her friends so she will feel more comfortable.

You should invite her so you can gauge how she interacts with your friends. Nothing sais "I want to know you" than to see someone candid with your friends. It's not a matter of her knowing you, it's more of you knowing her. Besides, this will give you a chance how your friends see her as well.
