This rash may have any one of several causes.

Firstly it may be caused by yeast bacteria on the skin. Yeast survives in moist environments. It may be returning because of recurrant sweat and irritation in the area. Because your rash has an odour, this is the most likely cause. Yeast gives off its own distinct smell.

You may have large heavy breasts. In that case, you will tend to sweat more in that area. With a large bust there are issues of your bra rubbing and irritating your skin and sweat building up under the bra. In that case I would suggest keeping the area clean and dry.

Another cause may be contact dematitis. Many bras use elastic in the strap that fits around your body. As the elastic ages it degrades into a sticky substance that is irritating to the skin, especially when you sweat. Some bras also use metal wires. You may be allergic to the metal wire.

Another cause could be as condition called Lichen Planus. A common location for this rash is under the breasts. Factors such as stress contribute to it.

Best way to deal with the problem is to see a health care professional. He or she can help your arrive at a permanent solution to the problem.

Self help would include keeping the breast area clean and dry. You might want to try sleeping without a bra. That will allow your skin to breathe.

Honey, you're having contact dermatitis or possibly a yeast infection under the breasts. Get yourself a loose fitting cotton bra first of all. After bathing, dry the area very well and apply and antiperspirant to the area; then powder. When any area is wet and hot, it will tend to grow fungus. You can even put a little gause under your breasts to keep the chaffing from hurting until it heals. The most important is to keep it dry. Don't sleep in a bra. If these small changes don't help you, you can try over the counter anti-fungals or call your doctor and ask for "Diflucan". At any rate the antiperspirant will help with the wettness under the breasts. godloveya.

the rash can be due to sweating. if you have large breasts make sure you wipe underneath when you can and use baby powder. try to keep it dry. it might be the excess moisture

It does sound like a fungus, but that is just a guess. You really should see a doctor about this to find out the underlying cause since the rash occurs spradically. Please don't delay.
