If God can accept heterosexuals, why can he not accept homosexuals if every person if the world is loved by him?
If they pray for forgiveness, won't they be lying to themselves and God for basically hiding who they are?

He loves everyone, He just punishes us like he should. Homosexuality is an abomination. Its not a sin to actually be a homosexual, but it is a sin to act upon it and have sexual intercourse with someone of the same sex. You cannot be born homosexual it is a personal choice. If it was something people were born with than they wouldn't be punished for it. Think about it. God is just and would never punish someone for something they had no control over.

No matter what God Loves everyone equally. He is our creator wether we like it or not. There is just consequences for our choices. And no I am not homophobic, I have family that is gay and some of the nicest people I have met are gay. But it is the truth, and I am a Christian.

Also, if you ask for forgiveness from Jesus Christ He will forgive no matter what, you just need to turn away from what you have been doing.

The rub here is that most religious people “believe” homosexuality is a sinful choice – much as one might decide to, say, take up gambling. I’ve even read on this forum how there “could not be” a “gay gene.” The fact that biologists can actually manipulate certain gene structures and get exactly those results in various species makes no difference to these folks.

Many of these same people have given ground on scriptures when it comes to obvious things like the functioning of the solar system, the time span of “creation,” and on many of the barbaric propositions that are now called the “old covenant.” But on homosexuality they are resisting with all their might. Unfortunately, I don’t think there is a meaningful way to approach the issue with them.

I should close by saying I believe a lot of this is fueled by the anti-human and uncharitable nature of the writings of a man who never knew Jesus, one Saul of Tarsus.

Someone above stated that god created man and woman for each other. That in itself raises a very important question. If they are in fact created for one another then I must ask why women out number men at such an astonishing rate......

That of course is not what I am here to say.

It is not a so called god or anything other than humanity that cannot accept homosexuality. Humanity has no tolerance for what it does not comprehend, and it is truely that simple.

You'll have to ask God when you see him.

No mere man or woman on earth has the right to speak for God.
Anything they say would only be their own opinion, which means nothing to anyone but them.

If they claim to be interpreting the bible, then they are interpreting what has been written by men and re-interpreted for centuries...many parts of which have been altered or left out to better serve those using it.

Trust what's in your heart, and do all you can to leave this world a better place than it was when you got here. If you will be judged by God after you die, be proud of all you did while you were here.

Be good to yourself, others around you, and the place you live. Give more than you take. Be true to yourself. Be honest.

Everything else is opinion.

I believe God looks at you're heart. Yes sin is bad but if you live a decent life and treat others with respect then of course he loves you! I think more christians need to fore go judging others and look in the mirrors we all have skeletons in our closet. I am a heterosexual Christian I am A follower of Jesus which means I am not the Judge only God is! Live right by treating others right and that is what God judges on it's not my place to tell you how to live.

Homosexuality is veiwed as the ultimate sin by most Catholic denominations. Yet you have some religions and churches like the Church of Latter Day Saints I believe that openly accept homosexuals. To push the bounds of this, one could say God veiws homosexuality as an abomination. He created man and woman...not man and man nor woman and woman.

Your question leans towards the understanding that homosexuals have not chosen be the way they are. If you disregard the liberal influence on society and get to the heart of things, you realize that homosexuality is a perversion of all that God has given to us.

Jesus did not hate the prostitute yet HE helped her realize that she must repent for her sin.

God gave us freewill along with our body and soul, so you can do what ever you want.

But He also proclaimed to us that sex is the union between female and male, not male and male or female and female so its actually going deliberately against His proclamation and then asking for His forgiveness for doing so! Thats like killing 1000s of people and then asking for forgiveness. But who knows? Maybe He will forgive you if you pray touching your soul!

Only God can answer this question. Nobody on this earth can speak for God. That's why homosexuals have always been persecuted. I'm gay and I know that God accepts and loves me. 'nough said.

I am not a religious person but I believe Peter on a letter to the Corinthians refer to homosexuals.
They have been around since this race inhabits this planet, so live with them.
