Hmm. . . interesting question!
Fortunately, if you have your beliefs all along and believe in Christ, there is no need to "recant" past beliefs on your deathbed. I will ask for final forgiveness, but I won't recant, because I have nothing to recant.

I'm not planning on being in bed for my death. You don't get it. God is a lie. Spirituality is a motivational tool. There is only what happens here, with the consequences here, and that is very intense. Atheists don't get forgiven for anything, ever. We are responsible.
