Don't pay any attentiont to the fodder. Vampirism is mostly a state of mind. A REAL vampire doesn't burst into flames or live forever, that's just nonsense. There are thousands of sites out there that detail vampire society. The most common way to become a vampire per say is to give blood to and partake in blood from a dignified member of vampire society, usually a coven leader.

Well, since vampires arent real in the first place, you cant ever be a "real" vampire. The only thing you would be known as is a weirdo or cannibal for drinking blood. Get a new dream.

You have to decide what it means to you to be "a vampire for real". Whatever makes a vampire for real is the only way you can be. Drinking blood no more makes you a vampire than eating pizza makes you Italian or eating fried rice makes you Chinese. Decide for yourself what qualities qualify you to be what you want to be.
