right i'm 14 yrs old and i weigh 10 stone something i'm quite tall bout 5'6 've never been any good at the whole exercise thing but i'm fat, have bad skin and a very un healthy diet. my family don't help because they're all so un healthy...there's no point trying to starve myself because i only think about food even more and my parents will catch on.
no one at school calls me fat but compared to most of the other girls i'm a bloody elephant it's really putting me down because people at school wont stop picking on me because i have bad skin i keep falling out with all my friends and i've just found out they've been bitching about me behind my back...i've got no one else to talk to b/coz nearlyy every1 @ my school knows me 1 way or another i really want to get fit annd healthy but it's killing me just doing 30mins exercise i've been on so many diets that i donyt seem to be able to keep i've seen a doc bout my skin and there's nothing she can do
what do i do now?

I do feel for you, it must be hard, but please dont worry too much. You are at the age where hormones go a bit crazy, the skin is prone to spots because of this and weight can pile on too. I use an over the counter cream called freederm, it really helps. If you doctor will help ask for dalacin T topical lotion, its a roll on antibiotic and very effective too. Your friends obviously are not good friends to you as they are not being at all sensitive to you. One day they will gain weight to and get spots too and wish tehy never treated you the way they are. People should like you for who you are so remember that, and I am sure you are a very nice person. Start exercising lightly at your own pace, even if its 10 minutes, then gradually increase it, but dont exercise everyday as this can turn fat into muscle quickly. At the same time try to eat three healthy sensible meals every day but eat a morning and afternoon snack like fruit to stop you thinking about food or getting hungry. Cut out junk food, but if you have been good, or just even if you fancy a little chocolate then have a little as depriving your self will only lead to binging on it. The more you stick to it the easier it will be and the better you will feel, and your so called friends will be right jealous of your achievements. Just take things one at a time, dont push your self too much and do only what you feel you can. I really admire your desire to get healthy and fit, well done you, all the best, let me know how you are doing in a few months time, also do not expect things to happen to quickly as it will result in dissapointment. You need to give spot creams a while to start working, and also weight wont drop off straight away, it may take weeks to notice anything.. good luck.

look stop complaining. I'm 15 and only 5" 5' and I am 11 stone. I know the feeling, and the worst thing to do is starve yourself. you should just get a hobby or something to take your mind off food. you should also try chewing gum (as long as it's sugar free) because it feels like you are eating when really it has only a couple of calories. drink plenty of water, because its good for your skin and fills you up at the same time. and rather than giving up sweets cold turkey, just eat some every now and then. It's working for me, I've lost loads of weight already and still am.
also get plenty of fresh air, and remember: exercise doesn't necessarily mean sports. you could try cycling to wherever you are going if its near enough.
and another thing: fad diets do not work. more fruit and less fat and sugar works. seriously, fruit is really nice once you get used to it.
you should ask your parents (whoever does the shopping) to buy some fruit or other healthy foods that you like for you, and you should get an astringent (cleanser) for your skin, rather than a cream cleanser, because creams just clog up your pores. you should also moisturise daily even if you have greasy skin, because it is only because you take out too much moisture when cleansing that it creates more, and then doesn't know when to stop creating more oils.

Let me start out by saying that being a teenager sucks. OK, now, I am American, so I don't know what 10 stone is, but if you feel you are overweight an easy inexpensive way to loose weight is drink lots of water and use portion control. Just eat LESS of whatever you have for lunch or dinner. Your skin problems may just be a phase. We all went through it. There are some products that work better than others. Determine if your skin is dry or oily and try something accordingly. You may have to try some different types of face wash. Can your doctor at least recommend something? It will pass and it will get better. Hold on to your friends. This is a rough time in your life and theirs and you will need them. Tell them that. Tell them you are a little bummed out now and could use some support. Tell your family that, too. Hang in there. It WILL get better!!

ugh u just 14 ,,, so wanna tell u I'm fighting with this problem three times so long ,,,starving is no good ,,, try eat healthy and is all about exercise ,,, well its killing me 2 but its a pain 2 do it but u have 2 ,,,, when u loose some weight be easier,,,then u eat more healthy cause u look better and u automatically change Ur food cause u don't wanna spoil it ,,, its all sooo connected,,,just try and try and try ,,, so as u c u can do something about Ur weight so u can feel better ,,,,u cant do nothing about idiots who picking on u ,,,, well do u really wanna friends with IQ 0???? still some docs have no clue or r just lazy so don't give up after first visit ,,go again if necessary somewhere else

The only way to lose weight is to change your diet and stick to it. But you have to want it and see it through.

I lost 25 kg in two months on a strict diet of brown rice, lentils, porridge, vegetables and fresh fruit, drinking only water and tea. Nothing else. Especially nothing with sugar or extra fats, and no processed or pre-prepared food. It works and makes you feel a lot better.

And regarding your skin, make sure you drink plenty of plain water (at least 3 litres per day). You should also eat plenty of fresh fruit and take some supplements like garlic, cod liver oil and evening primrose. Avoid to be in bright sunshine for long, and make sure to bath regularly. Water is a great healing factor for skin.

i wouldnt say at 5'6 and 10 stone that u were fat,please dont starve yourself,u wont lose calories that way. instead try and eat as much fruit and veg as u can and avoid really fatty foods like chips,burgers,etc. these foods wont help your skin either. wash your face and cleanse completely every night to combat bad skin. exercising can be done at home by doing some sit ups in your room,and u dont have to tell anyone and u only need to start off slowly,say 10 mins a day and build it up. finally,please dont let nasty,bitchy,so called friends put u down,u deserve to be treated better than that!! hang in there mate!

Have you tried eating a jacket potato with tuna,
sweet corn and a little mayo.It is very filling and
good for you.Also try eating soup and add your
own veg.As for exercising take a brisk walk for
half an hour. If i were you i would ditch your so
called friends.You don't need friends that wont stand by you. Good look.

why don't you try taking small steps to start with, cut back on the chocolate or crisps or ask your mum if you can have brown rice with your dinner - it doesn't cost much and is really easy to cook - then when you get used to that try cutting back on something else like fizzy drinks and start drinking water. Take small steps which you can build on - stick with the exercise and you will start to improve - drinking 2 litres of water a day will also help your skin

OK, I'm not a girl but i was the fat kid a school, and i know what it is you are feeling, people nice to your face but talking behind you back, i found that walking was the best excise for me, not marathon miles but start of small and get bigger, and in the end you will succeed, and your skin will also get better. good luck

i know you said starving yourself doesnt work because you think about food all the time but if your in the uk theres a really good pill that i used last month. its call dr gillian mcKeith's something. its in a green rectangular packet and costs £8 in tesco. its an appetite suppressant and really works. if you take it properly it will reduce your appetite and stop cravings. you need to speak to your parents and let them understand youre uncomfortable with your weight and want to eat healthier. when they're coking chips tel them you want jacket potato, thats kinda stuff. keep on at them, its the only way they'll understand and they will try to help
