Your laptop has too many things to run.
If you have windows XP: Click on Start, Run type in msconfig & hit Enter. Now select the "Startup" tab. There sould be a list of programs. These programs are what is loaded when your laptop starts up. deselecting programs that you don't need may help for a faster boot.

If it is booting up slow, there maybe configuration problem within your windows. Try to re-install windows or do a repair installation or try to resolve the conflict manually (scan disk, etc.).
