the government should have id's for everyone, even those who cannot drive, (i.e. elementary students). then, when you go into the school, you must show a security guard your id, then you can go inside. the illegals who do not have id's cannot send their dirty lice ridden children to our clean schools for free.
american citizens will be given id's at birth, and they can say "AMERICAN CITIZEN".

giving everyone the same resources is communism, not keeping illegals out of our schools, that's just common sense. you are a communist.

i dont' know about your schools, but in the school i went to, the bathrooms smelled like cleaning solution, the walls were pained every year, oh, and the illegal mexicans only showed up to spread lice during the first few months of school, then they left. meanwhile, the teachers had to stop teaching us so they could teach the dirty illegals how to speak english. (they couldn't even pass spanish class, oh yeah, it's a fact)

This is very timely. They had Congressional hearings yesterday when Homeland Security and business leaders etc. said having ID just for guest workers doesn't work because the person will just pretend they are not a guest worker but a resident. Some people are saying everyone doesn't want to get an ID. However, the REAL ID was in the works anyhow for national security purposes. I for one think we need it and will be happy to get it. I also think it should verify citizenship status for voting.

Yars, I think if ever there is a guest worker program the employers should either outright provide company town type schools (this would work for agribusiness) or should pay local impact fees to cover schools and health care as big housing developers have to do in California. I'm not saying we shouldn't educate children. I am saying the children shouldn't be here unless the employers cover their education and health care.

Yeah, but a magic card won't keep the ID theft gurus in Tijuana from printing them muy pronto...A physical border that limits cross-border traffic and caps it at, say, 20,000 people a day, something like that, would do a SUPERLATIVE job of really wrenching down on the illegal immigration problem. Also, 'helping' Mexico to build several substantial prisons in their problem northern areas would do that, too. Magic ID cards can be faked, dealing with Mexico especially, but all countries eventually on immigration is the Right Answer here. I think if you're in the country as a worker etc, you should keep your original passport, and that should be your proof, and your ONLY proof. Clean things up in that dept, starting with serious enforcement that DRASTICALLY reduces quotas for people coming to the United States. Start having recall elections and deliberately hunting for conflicts-of-interest.
Fine holy hell out of employers for hiring illegals, make the fines prohibitive, and punitive, kill off the power to the other magnets like schooling, social services, the whole trip. Your little magic card doesn't mean much to people whose philosophy can be summed up in 'bodges?!?!?We don't need no steenkin' bodges! Vamonos!' LOL

No, that wouldn't fly here. You would have to show proper ID when you register or use services or are questioned by the police, no different than when they ask your license to identify yourself. There is already laws that say they can keep you as long as they can't identify you. You should not have to have ID on you just to go outside and walk, but you should have it where it can be produced should it need be. That is what makes us a civil society not a military one.

I have to tell you, denying any child under any circumstances an education is cruel and inhumane. The additional cost of the educating these children should lie from where they're parents are attracted by - the business sector that brought them here and they can have those costs added to their business zoned property taxes. They wanted them, they can pay for them.

Already have an i.d. issued by the federal government.
We receive them as soon as we become enrolled into the tribe which is usually at birth. This federal identification card states who you are, which tribe you belong to, your enrollment #, S.S.A #, date of birth, and reservation voting district. Along with the usual identifying information. And to keep up with the changing times we now get updated tribal I.d.'s that have a barcode strip! Whoopee! This card must be carried at all times and must be presented upon request by any government official for any reason.
See if you were a native american you would not have any problems with your identity, your government would take care of all that for you.
