1st Corinthians 6:9,10 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kindgom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor theives, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind: it is abomination. Leviticus 18:22
HEY CHRISTIANS he who is without sin cast the first stone.
Anyone notice that he mentions premarital and extramarital sex right along with homosexuality? Why all the homosexual bashing, what about child abusers, pedophiles, wife beaters, adulteres, liars, cheaters, thieves, etc. What about you? What about me?

Stopping being gay, a disputed tenet of Christianity although certain in Islam, anyway, a command or a rule, following ONE rule won't make u saved will it? And it's surely something huge to individuals that would be a generally very bad way to enter faith. Surely the only way one can stop being gay is if they willingly and seriously consider it in the hearts and give it up? Surely thats not even a pre-requisite to being saved alone, at least it isn't in Christianity. You are saved first and then do things in return, rather than that one thing condemmning you. God might lead some into a straight lifestyle but thats generally a matter of freewill, if a persons not ready or wouldnt benefit or is not willing in spirit, God will not push. We are not saved by our deeds alone if we were it wouldnt work as we'd not be able to get that close to God to help us in the first place. Hope that helps.
Someone said religious types don't believe in evolution and thats a book too.....well I do! don't tar us all with the same brush it dosent really matter at the end if the day I believe the 7 days was definitely metaphorical but even if they don't it's a matter of faith........................ to some people it really does seem to matter, I don't know why they bash their heads against a brick wall trying to get creationsim taught in schools on the misguided assumption exposure to darwinism will infect their children and make them against the Bible, becuase at the end of the day belief in one little story won't, or however you believe the world was exactly created, won't change the essential fact of Christianity that Jesus was not only human but God's son as long as you get that right the rest will flow and you dont need to worry about how the world was created.

the only biblical references to gayness are the implications about sodom and gamorrah, but it is never specifically stated that the act of gayness was bad. The bible does talk about men who wished to sodomize angels being evil, but this is not implying that a gay relationship is wrong. There is also a part in the bible that talks about women not putting on the adornment of men, but again, it does not say, Don't be gay. I have never seen a "Don't be gay" statement in the bible, and would venture to guess that it does not exsist because scientist have now proven that some humans are genitically predispositioned for homosexuality due to a faulty chromosome on the geneline during the gestation period. This is unalterable, and I cann't phathom how god would fault you for an inalterable predisposition that he created.

So much misguidance on this page about things The bible is not grey it is black and white and again i would like to restate what the last person just said For those who believe that the Bible states the truth and for those who do not know the truth
Leviticus 20:13
"If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination."
So the person that said the Bible doesn't clearly speak against it don't talk about things you know nothing about.

U can't stop being gay, people are born gay. Also u can even get gay animals and if being gay is a choice what do u think those animals were thinking before they decided to become gay? plus Bible and Quran were written by men. How u know that these men who wrote were inspired by God or just wrote it coz they didn't like gay people?

Call it what it is "Homosexuality" And yes it says it's an abomination which means discusting.
Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
And yes it also goes the other way around. Same sex is an abomination. Because God said so.

There are other verses, but here are a few.
Romans 1:22-27
"Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due."
Leviticus 18:22
“You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.”
Leviticus 20:13
"If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination."

The word gay is only used one time in scriptures and this I believe is in only the King James translation using old English
James 2:2-3
2. For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;
3. And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:
Now if you are talking about Homosexual behavior .God condemns it and states in a command that one who is Homosexual should be stoned to death.
You or any one want chapter and verse E mail me.

>>>GOD SAID TO STOP BEING GAY <<<
Actually, the Bible doesn't say anything about "being gay" -- that is, it doesn't say anything about homosexual orientation.
It has plenty to say, however, about homosexual CONDUCT.
The Old Testament has lots of teachings that are superceded by new teachings in the New Testament.
But such is not the case with homosexuality. The Old Testament condemns it, and the New backs it up with the same teaching.

Yes, It is a Sin in the eyes of God. An evil spirit that can be discerned to resist or rebuke and may need to be casted out of some or should I say alot now, only if they are willing to be delivered from it. "As in the days of Sodom , so shall it be in the day of the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ" As in the days of Noah, Obey Gods commands (word) or be destroyed, left behind.
