as in, why do they say scientific discoveries that help man live long, cure disease are gifts from God and are good, when most of the scientific community believes things which are offensive to Christian fundamentalists, like green house effect, evolution of the species, the fact that dinosaurs lived millions of years before man was on the scene, the study of far away galaxies, the earth being round and revolving around the sun, etc.
And why do they believe that scientists are in a vast conspiracy against Christianity if they also give us so many "blessings" soley due to the study of science?

Well 99.9%(Actual percentage, it's like 99.8 something..) of scientist believe we evolved over billions of years, although they have not figured out every detail yet they have enough general facts that they can explain it in detail.

Christians and science don't get along well I guess.

Apparently Brooke didn't read my post, no not many research scientists are christian, almost none to be in fact. I guess anyone can claim theirself a scientist but qualified scientists who also claim themselves Christian are extremely rare.

I think Christians and science get along perfectly. My interpretation of some things may be a little different. To me science proves that there is a God. Do you seriously think you the universe just happened? What takes more faith - believing in evolution or that creation occurred?
Because there are so many constants in science it shows intelligent design.

God created science. God is science when we build a computer or robot is that not science. God just creates things and we are now stumbling upon the first layer of how it might work and how God makes it work. I'm not even talking about evolution here but maybe religion and science should rely on eachother more to explain who and how God is/works.

I am a Christian and none of those things that you mentioned are offensive to me nor are they offensive to a lot of Christians I know.
Never have never will believe in a vast conspiracy.

You accuse a group but you do not take time to understand all in the group.
Perhaps you are the one who is offended and believe in vast conspiricies??????

Many scientists are christian. The study of science helps us see how awsome God really is to have created things that are so complex.

You can only deny so much of what you see right in front of you. I'm sure a lot of christians would like to deny a lot more, but it's too late for that, it's been proven and accepted, so they have to think of a way to spin it to make their religion right again. Think intelligent design.
