I'm a guy but i think its worth it. Girls with highlights and professionally done hair look gorgeous. You can tellw hen its just a pack of dye or when its highlighted professionally.

it is worth it because it sounds like you dont know what you are doing buying color at target , if you do that you may end up paying more than$65 to fix what you did. does the salon do a good job well that depends on the salon you choose and if your little cousin tells what she wants even uses pictures. one more thing in the salon where i work color starts at $50 for a retouch.

Yes, $65 is definetly worth it for highlights, but if she just wants her hair colored then it isnt worth it. It would be very hard to give her highlights by yourself without experience, but if you just buy the color for coloring all of her hair, then you can get the same results as the salon.

It depends on exactly what she is planning on having done. For highlights yes. I spend almost $100.00 but, if it's just to color it one color especially if she's going darker, no I would not. Going lighter does get a little trickier. You don't want to end up w/ orange or green hair. Especially if her hair is dark and she wants to go pretty light. Again, if she only wants to go a few shades darker you could just get a box of color from a drugstore a save alot of money. For a really good highlight job though yes it's worth the money.

$65 is a lot for all-over color, but it's cheap for highlights or streaks. It depends on what kind of color job she wants done. If you want to save some money, you can go to a hairdressing school and get it done there- chances are your cousin isn't old enough to know a good dye job from a bad dye job anyways!

I would love to pay JUST $65 to have my hair colored. The last time I had it done I paid $120 and my hair is just beneath my shoulder blades.
No, for the most part, they do not use the same hair color that you can buy at Target, they order their color and supplies thru their supplier.

the cost of a good colour can probably be determined as "worth it" if the hair is difficult to colour. for example, my cousin has extremely curly and course hair so she feels a professional highlight is worth every penny. as for me, i have extreme red highlights (natural) that nothing but black can cover (drugstore brands). a professional strip and colour is the only way to get the deep brown i love. if your cousin sister has a hair type that will take a box brand colour then, by all means, go with the cheaper alternative. there are some really great brands out there.

I pay $70 for foils, cut, and style.
It depends on how old the girl is too-is she going to keep it up or just this once. If only once, buying a kit at Walmart or Target would do. They have several different kind-full hair color, highlighting, etc.
Good Luck and have fun! :0)

Yes, I would probably recommend the target color idea, $65 on dying ur hair isn't worth it when you can dye your hair yourself and have the same results.

ABSOLUTELY I would and do!!!!
Do the Target thing and you'll end up paying alot more if it goes awry! Only a pro can get the colors you want and can explain if there are questions. Go to www.redkencolor.com to find a great stylist!
