I can see still pictures in my head, after I blink once at an object, and I can hold it there for a while, also I never forget a face.

Actually, as I understand it, a photographic memory also applies to text. That is, you can read something once and remember it. As to never forgetting a face, I suspect that's an exaggeration. You probably forgot the guy who walked past you just exactly two minutes before you went into the shop where you bought your shoes the last time, didn't you? And how about the faces in a crowd; can you honestly say you can remember every one that was visible in a picture of a football stadium full of fans?

I doubt that anyone has a truly photographic memory, but there certainly are people who remember very well, and it's a very valuable asset. However, if you don't also have a good forgettary, you can get pretty clogged up!

Photographic Memory Quiz

Take a picture! No I'm just kidding. If you can retain information by analyzing it once or twice without even trying to memorize it there is a good chance you have a photographic memory. Say like if you are reading a book, when you put it down and get ready to go to sleep does the manuscript still flash before your eyes or do you just think about the meaning of what you just read? That's what I've been told...I hope it's accurate.

People who have photographic memories are usually exceptionally good with numbers, spelling, reading and puzzles. I have a photographic memory. I see a persons phone number on a piece of paper one time and I can recall it whenever I need it. Word spelling is the same way. But you have to learn how to work it. You have to teach your mind how to really look at things. People don't like me playing games where you have to remember things on a tray or word games because I always win they think I am cheating. Problem is there is no money making in haveing a photographic memory it just makes you look really smart.

Photographic memory, eidetic memory, or total recall, is the ability to recall images, sounds, or objects in memory with great accuracy and in seemingly unlimited volume.

For example, on July 2, 2005, Akira Haraguchi managed to recite pi's first 83,431 decimal places from memory, and on November 3, 1994, Tom Groves memorized the order of cards in a randomly shuffled 52-card deck in 42.01 seconds.

Most people who have a good or better than average memory are not considered to have a photographic memory. Chances are that you dont. It sounds like you are detail oriented with a good memory. Photographic memory refers to an extreme situation as you can see from the above examples.

Well, first of all, I recommend you to take an eidetic memory test to see if you have the skills within you. In this website I discovered that my auditive memory is way better than my visual memory.
