This is so good! I make it for my neighbors and they always ask for it when I see them, and its easy to make!



A Red White and Blue Pie

1 roll of sugar cookie dough
8 oz of cream cheese
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 -1 cup of sugar (to your taste)
1/2 cup of blueberries
1/2 cup of strawberries, cut in half
1/8 cup of brandy or some sort of liquor or cognac
1/8 cup of apricot preserves


1. Cut the sugar cookie dough in wedges and place on a pizza pan in a circile to make a pizza dough looking thing. Bake for 15-20 min at 350 degrees. Take out and cool completely.
2. Mix the creame cheese, vanilla, and sugar together until smooth. Spread over the cookie dough.
3. Sprinkle the berries over it like toppings on a pizza.
4. Heat the cognac and preserves in a sauce pan until thinkened. Drizzle over the pizza. Chill for about 30 minutes or serve right away, whatever...
5. Cut into wedges and serve.

Makes 8 pieces of "pizza"

All American Trifle uses strawberries and blueberries for the red and blue. White is the whipped cream.
INGREDIENTS:
2 (12oz.) containers whipped topping, thawed
1 5.9 ounce package vanilla instant pudding
1 whole angel food cake, cut into 1 inch cubes
Sliced fresh strawberries and blueberries
Slivered almonds
PREPARATION:
Prepare instant pudding according to package directions. Layer ingredients as follows from bottom of trifle bowl to top; 1/3 Cool Whip, 1/2 of cake cubes, 1/2 of pudding, strawberries, 1/3 Cool Whip, cake cubes, pudding, blueberries, remaining Cool Whip, and top with slivered almonds.

get a good size rectangle cassarole dish use fresh cut strawberries and whole blueberries and homemade whip cream (or cool whip if you are in a bind) and construct the american flag, a square of blueberries in the top corner with some white dots to symbolize the stars and then alternating strawberry and whipping cream rows for the stripes, berry patriotic, cool and refreshing and healthier than cake. lol.

Make red and blue Jello on a cookie sheet then use star shaped cookie cutters to cut out the shapes. Place the cut out pieces in a clear bowl to serve.

Strawberry shortcake is a good choice also.

Take a premade sheet cake
Or make one yourself
Frost cake with cool whip (white)
slice strawberries
and get blueberries
arrange the strawberrries and blueberries to look like the American Flag
(My family loves this)

Apple crisps and cherry crisps.
Very easy to make and dont require a lot of prep time
Two cans of apple/cherry pie filling
One box of butter rich cake mix ( reg yellow will do)
Stick of margarine/butter


Open pie filling and pour and spread into a 9x13 baking dish.
Sift cake mix over top and spread to corners with a fork. Melt butter/margarine and drizzle over top. Bake on cookie sheet (for boil over ) at 350 deg for 45-55 mins. Let cool for 20 mins before serving. top with coolwhip or icecream. Delicious.

No doubt about it... Fresh Fruit salad... Grapes, Bananas, Apples, Oranges, Fruit Cocktail, Muskmelon and Honey Dew mellon mixed in Fresh Whipping Cream.

Get some sort of square pound or sponge cake, cover with whipped cream and place strawberries and blueberries in the shape of a flag.

Kraft foods has some REALLY good recipes for 4th of July. I have done the "wave your flag cheese cake" and it is SUPER awesome. Have FUN!!!
