...and not have to worry about being called cheesy?
A Catholic staple:
Peace be with you... and also with you. No, Peace be with YOU!... No, may it also be with YOU!...
You've gotta love some of these prayer requests too:
Everyone, please say a prayer for my son little Johnny. He's been wetting his bed a lot and feels a bit insecure about it. So please pass this prayer request on to everyone so that little Johnny can get over his bladder inadequacies. Thank you!

Organized religion just creates another form for people to identify themselves. You don't need to be religious to be cheesy.......
The whole peace be with you thing is also found in other places..e.g. in Arabic, the word salaam means peace.......Salaam Aleikum...aleikum salaam....peace be w/ you...and peace unto you too. I think it has been hijacked into religion but it is an ancient way for people to identify those that are freinds and those that you are waring with you....

If you are a christian, it is the holy spirit dwells within you that prays the Father for you. Most prayers are just lip service. Because the holy spirit searches your heart.

Does it make you feel superior to spend so much time asking pointless questions that mock God and religion? I've read some of your posts/questions and dude, I have to say, you have some real issues.

It also allows you to hinde behind religion while spouting off the most vile, pernicious crap about homosexuals, women and those heathens in the other religions.

No, not at all. Even so, corny and cheesy are much better than hateful and mocking.
