Why is it that when you are filling up the waterguns the kids always give the first rule "No shooting water in my face" then when you hand them the watergun the first thing they do is shoot water up your nose and try to saturate your brain? lol. I just had a watergun fight with my 9 yr old. Summer sure is fun.

It's been a day of mother & daughter fun while my husband has our son in to get his braces off. We are having a good laugh at these answers so far. Thanks

Is your 9 year old a boy? If he is then that explains it. See boys when they pee they sometimes miss their target and it goes on the rim or out of bounds. So when he pulled the trigger he didn't mean to hit your face/nose. He just missed his target! It happens even to me sometimes ;) And if it's a girl shooting a water pistol then they haven't had much practice w/ a "water pee-stol" I just made that up! LOL!

Get a bucket of water and hide. Or maybe the hose. Or some water balloons. Or a hefty bag full of water.

same thing when you give them hose to help water garden-then your soaked in 30 seconds. God is punishing us with water i think, nothing like soaked light color shirt when neighbors are out. And lets not even go to play-doh huh? or the sandbox

Thats like telling kids don't look for your birthday presents or no snacks before dinner. They just gotta do it.

Good for him, he's learning sneaky tactics. That'll come in really handy when he's my age and gets into paintballs or PVC swords. You know wht they say, "all's fair in love and war".

Kids think there all grown up and smarter than you. They want to be the first to make the rules, but it seems to me that there always the first to break them. Enjoy them while ou can...................Karen
