You'll need several different opinions from Medical Professionals to help him get a discharge. My brother went through this.
Good Luck :-)

My husband has a very bad back. It is very hard to get out for a back injury. A lot of people have back trouble in the military. Keep going to your dr. and see what they say. It is very hard to get medicaly discharged from your service.

His bad back would have be examined by a military doctor and
checked if it is service connected, then see if it can be corrected by medicine or surgery, if not , he will have to put in paperwork for
a medical dischargeand it will to be approved by the military doctors and his commanding officer.

Hey do not kid yourself..IF YOUR SON HAS A BAD BACK, IT WOULD HAVE SHOWED UP WHEN HE WENT INTO THE SERVICE..
HE IS JUST TRYING TO GET OUT OF SOMETING HE IS NOT CAPABLE OF HANDLING.
The Services do not want to take a chance on any person getting hurt.
If he is for real, he can contact the INSPECTOR GENERAL .

why did he join the military if he has a bad back, or is he just trying to get out of the military?
Either way the military is a serious commitment, and no matter what be proud of him for the job he is doing.
