Im part of quite a big family and theyre all understanding etc but sometimes i feel like they dont respect my need for privacy and come barging in on me getting changed look through my draws and read the computer screen when ive gone to the loo etc. I think its because as a child i was very open and all of a sudden ive gone quite secretive. I just dont know how to get some privacy!!

This is quite normal. It is growing up and I guess you are around 12-14 yrs?
Two issues
One is explaining you need your own space and privacy. Your folks will not know you have reached this stage in your life unless you tell them.
Second is practical. If you have your own room, well explain you need a lock on the door..............and if that happens respect the space/trust you are given.
If you do not have your own room, then discuss futher options.
Finally, that is what brothers and sisters are for......to drive you up the wall! But you love them really,,,,,,,,,,,,,,!

Tell them.
Say you are now an adult and are intitled to your privacy. The reason why they check up on you is because they are confused as to why your personality has changed. They need answers and worry that you could be going through some difficulties and want to help.
Tell them they can help more by leaving you be.

lol hi soz cant help y dont u ask if u can use a diff comp rather than the kitchen one? then u cud get some privacy n stuff... or u cud ask for a comp or summat for christmas... or just hold a family meeting and ask for ur privacy.. or get cahnged in the bathroom n lock the door n stuff xx

i understand how you feel....i'm from a family of 3 kids, and I need privacy......you should talk to your family and say that you're growing older and you really need more privacy.....its just a part of growing up....as little kids, we're all more open, and some of us just grow to want more privacy in life.....you say your family is understanding, so i know they will understand your request.....i hope this helps and i hope that you will get more privacy! coz i know how it feels to not get the amount of privacy that you want.

hey f****, i have the smae problem really, in fact two of my brothers are looking at the laptop right now! I juts tell em 2 go away. I've got a lock on my door coz my room is used as a hiding place or weapon area. lol. put signs on your door saying KNOCK or GETTING CHANGED!

try talking to them and asking them to knock on your bedroom door before they come in. if you tell them that you feel you need a little more privacy than you did when you were younger they should understand

i used to live with 19 cousins, 20 aunts and uncles, and my parents and grand parents, not to mention my cousin's kids, so i know how you feel. first of all, lock your room when doing private stuff, shut down programs when you leave your computer (try to use the computer when most of them arent in the house), hide anything you wouldnt want them going trough (e.g. a diary, private artwork, writings). get them used to the fact that you need to keep private stuff to yourself.

I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND. My mum n dad r always barging in n im like: hello? Im getting changed!! Ive begged 4 a lock, but they wont give me 1 in case i die or sumthing and they cant get in. I dont know wot to suggest. Beg 4 a laptop n internet connection in ure room? Im getting a laptop when we move. YAY.
Just tell them how u feel and tell them to please please please KNOCK!!!!! Tell them ure growing up and to leave u alone!! lol x

just ask , they should respect your wishes and if they dont u kld always padlock ur draws, turn ur screen off wen u leave da room 9does nufink 2 open docs) and lock ur door:)!
