Wiping butt on carpet or ground is usually a sign that your pet may have some kind of intestinal parasites. Take a stool sample to your vet, or if you don't want to do that just buy an over the counter wormer. Your cat might be wiping ring worm, or flat worm, or hook worms , or tape worms all over your carpet and you. Don't neglect to do this, for your own health.

First off........Why were you in your Mom's lap? Aren't you a tad bit too old for that? Okay I guess maybe you could be 12.........who knows.

Your cat (even though yes.....I would have to say that would be funny to see) may have worms. Dogs and cats will do that sometimes when they have worms. You should take BJ to the vet.

Man, did all you other answerers not read the whole story? This happened years ago! 5 is not too old to be on Mom's lap, and if he needed his anal glands expressed, it's too late now!
