Because they want to look cool to there other friends. This is the media's fault...the have made the poster perfect looking girl and every guy thinks that who should have. Find a guy that will love you for you and not your looks. Good luck!

Women are competitve and because you see a man with a beautiful women that makes him appear more attractive. It isn't because he is the best guy. Women judge other women on looks as much or more than men do. There are alot of great guys dating plain or average looking women and vice versa. People also have different taste, so what you think is attractive may not be to others.

Let me tell you something, anyone who is under 30 and tells you that looks don't matter is either a hypocrite or fugly...
Anyone over 30 who says that looks don't matter aren't lieing, people get to a point in their life when they start looking for their other half, someone they want to spend their whole life with and start a family with...now looks still play a role, but not to an extreme as before..
Also, I never really understood how people want to be BEAUTIFUL themselves and yet when other people are BEAUTIFUL, they get defensive and start calling them vain and conceited...That's just stupid...Everyone cares about their looks! Besides, not all beautiful people are dumb with absolutely no personality, it's just that people never give them a chance. They are judgemental.

I don't think thats true at all. "Best Guys" is a personal opinion. "Beautiful Women" is all personal opinion as well.
I'm dating a guy that everyone I know thinks is so unattractive compared to me, they make comments like "Oh, that guy has to be SO happy to be seeing you" I find him attractive, physically as well, but it has alot to do with his personality. So, I think thats a bad generalization. And these "best guys" if all they care about is looks, than they aren't all that great, are they? OR you're just not seeing what these beautiful women have to offer personality wise as well.

too many guys are superficial. I met a guy when he called my house and it was the wrong number. But we just started talking and discovered we had alot in common. We continued our phone conversations and eventually met in person. On a 1-10 scale, I'm probably around a 6 to most guys... but this one treated me like I was the most beautiful women ever. Because we had gotten to know the person behind the person first.

Its the ones that women "think" are the best guys who only date beautiful women. The best guys might ave a slightly overweight, slightly older woman who keeps him very very happy. Smart and kind guys would probably prefer the cuties, but would not limit to them.

I being a male know that most men are looking for status, I myself look at the inside deep within the heart of hearts with whom ever I am dating. I had some rotton experiences with woman who had looks but no heart. So all in all to most guys they are looking for status.

Those people are just superficial. They are ignorant,to whats really important. It's like that old song my mom use to listen to something about "If you want to be happy for the rest of your life,don't make a pretty woman your wife" but everyone has a different taste.
