We've been dating on and off since December, but we're really close now. So far, overall we've gone out for 2 1/2. The first time, we broke up in late January, early Feburary. Then we started going back out on May 22. What do you think? Should we break up, and hopefully stay friends, or try to make it while also going to 2 completely different schools (and we'll never get to see each other)?

I just got out of a long distance relationship.... i went to a college away from home and he stayed and went to college here. We were together for a 1 yr and a 1/2. We made it all through freshman year, but right when summer started we broke up. I am not saying that breaking up is what you need to do, its just you need to analyze the strength of the relationship. If you think you can handle the stress and the emotions of being apart, i would say go for it. It is really tough though. Good Luck!

I think anybody who tells you to break up is pathetic. If you really care for this guy try and stay together. I mean if you realize things aren't working out or you develop feelings for someone else well then that happens but to break up because you two are going to diff. schools and not sure what may happen is not the right choice.

I am going through the same thing with my boyfriend we will be having our 3 year anniversary in a month. The most important thing is to realize is that a relationship is a choice. As long as you choose your relationship, distance will not be an issue. It won't be easy, but as long as you are sure that the other is making a decision to keep the relationship, you both can work on finding what works for the both of you.

You should stay together for at least a month into the school year. If you see someone else you really like, then you and your bf should just remain close friends.

I did the same thing, we went away as bf/gf stayed that way for the last 7 years...3 weeks ago she broke up with me and we both missed out on the orgies and promiscuious lifestyle of college...go with your heart, but while at school enjoy it

I think because u go to diffrent schools doesn't mean ur reltionship should be broken and y cna't u c eachother
