If that is what you have your heart set on...do it. Don't listen to what other people say. Do what you wanna do.

Once qualified, there are a number of specialist areas of in which Dietitians may work.
Examples of these include:

- Paediatrics
- Community Dietetics
- Nutrition of the Elderly Person
- Oncology
- Mental Health

Does any of them sound interesting to YOU?

Well, what would be your dreams, in terms of career? Do you like science? Do you like helping people? Dietician doesn't necessarily equal low pay. You could always get a government or hospital job, which will likely pay more than a non-profit/community based program. I think it would be excellent, especially as obesity and weight-related health issues become ever more prevalent.

That can be a very good career (depending on your hard work). Look at Atkins, he's making a lot of money. Figure out what makes the body burn fat and how to make the fat stay away. I sure you can do it, if he and Jenny Craig can do it, you can too.

It is a good job. You will have a lot of work in the future with all the obesity problems and the surgeries to correct it.

I would think that it would be hard to make any money doing this. But, there are plenty of opportunities in the Medical field for lots of money!

It can be a dull job depending on where you work. However keep in mind that dieticians can work in different settings. The pay is good here in New York, but I guess it just depends on where you work.
