A friend and I in the early 90's used to play this computer game where your character was a dinosaur and you had to run around collecting trash and recycling it. One thing I remember most was that you went up to a volcano and threw in this glass jar which was worth a lot of points. Any ideas on what this was called? I want to pass it on to my little sister because I know it was one of my favorite games as a kid.

Thanks!

In my experience the degree of excitement surrounding the promotion of an old product in an environment of all new products almost always results in disappointment for all concerned, becuase it is human nature to improve on past experience (usually), in order to be better than the competition at any one point in time. A game from the early 90's will invariably be a low quality game. (in today's standards) Picture, sound and interactivity will all make the game seem boring and lame by comparison, having the opposite effect you sound like you want. The early 90's was when I was really into basic first person and third person PC gaming and would spend several hours a day every day trying new games. I do remember vaguely the game you describe, but do not remember the name (may have been "Monster Mash", as I remember liking that one, but i think that was about dino's in a city eating buildings and creating havoc). Good luck finding an answer, but for your little sister I'd suggest going to your local PC game outlet and getting a sims game or something like that.

I remember this game, but sadly I can't remember the name. I think you also had to get a plastic bucket from a school teacher. Iirc the actual plot involved recycling trash to repair an alien spaceship

hahaha sounds like a game that was developed by the govt as use of propaganda on the public... to recycle.
