yeah their is, but I think it is expensive. I saw it on a crime solving show. They used it to figure out what the backgroung noises were.

Most of the music software i have used over the years will do the job perfrectly but they are quite expensive and a lot need training to use. If you want to do it basically then use the equaliser on the likes of itunes. If you filter anything around 5khz and above you should get good results, just play about with the levels and you will sort it out

Its called a graphic equalizer. The 10 band is best and voices are usually in the middle range ones

Adobe Audition will do that. You just set the threshold (where there's noise only), then it subtracts that from the audio track.
