You could try one of the 11 day or 14 day detoxes which focus on burning fat and detoxing the toxins that are stored in your fat. (Which potentially make losing weight too fast usually dangerous.) They generally focus on a lot of water, cranberry, organic where possible, sufficient protein, beneficial herbs and seasonings, eliminating typical allergens such as wheat/gluten and dairy, utilizing good bacterias, flaxseed or fish oils, lots of fiber, fruits/veggies, and of course, a mild exercise program. After the 11 or 14 days you can merge into the next phase, which offers more calories and avoids famine and metabolism problems.

I typically lose about 6-9 pounds the first week to ten days when I go back on the wagon, pretty much in "false fat" or water weight. It ends up averaging for me, about 10 pounds per month.

This is also takes into consideration that you NEED to lose weight. At 13 and 119 pounds, I wouldn't think that would be a problem. And of course, the less you need to lose, the longer it takes. But still, you could consider working on the HEALTHY aspect... eating better for your monthly cycles, your bones, better hormones and brain power, and gettin enough sleep with more energy. Staying active itself might be all you need with your metabolism, but as far as I know, the detox was the fastest thing I've ever done - about 40 pounds in 4 months.

The question is hon, who said you needed to lose weight in the first place? Did a doctor? Don't put your health behind some superficial need to be thin, etc. Keep in mind that YOU are beautiful because YOU are YOU, not because you fit a size 0.

If you truly feel the need to lose some weight, please do it the healthy way, with plenty of healthy fats and good carbs from veggies and fruit, and moderate exercise. Please please don't be tempted to try smoking or potentially harmful 'diet drugs.' If you feel the need to get started on the Battle of The Bulge this early in your life, you will probably be fighting it for decades to come, the long run - and these quick fixes will not help you keep it off in the long run; only a healthy plan and lifestyle that you enjoy will work.

Hope your taking a multivitamin/calcium/iron too, since between now and the next decade you will form the bones that you will have for the rest of your life, and it's probably never too soon to start preventing osteoperosis. The bottom line is, whatever you do, make it a matter of wanting to feel better and be healthier... and whatever issues with your size and appearance will naturally follow. Don't go on crash diets and only follow recommendations for your young age.

And always love yourself the way you are!

Make sure you're eating in moderation. Include the fruits and vegetables, while drinking plenty of water. Many people enjoy drinks with too much sugar content for a healthy diet. Also, too many people don't get in their daily allowance of fruits and vegetables. However, you can eat right all you want and still not lose the weight you're looking to lose. You need to make sure you include a moderate amount of exercise. This can be as simple as taking a 30minute walk each night after dinner.

You dont sound like you need to loose any weight. I'm the same height and weight as you and people always call me skinny. Anyhow, if you cut out 500 calories out of your diet everyday that will equal to 3500 calories in one week which is 1 lb of weight. Reduce your intake and the pounds will come off. Some exercise would be good too.

First of all, you are not over weight. At your age you shouldn't be doing any harsh dieting. Your body is still growing and it needs nurition. Just try eating healthier. Plenty of fresh fruits and veggies, whole grains, milk, brown rice and wheat pastas. Stay away from fast food and fried foods. No ice cream, chips, and candy bars. Take a sandwich and a piece of fruit for lunch. In place of sodas or sugary drinks, drink water or crystal light.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Get started today!

5'4" / 119? WAIT!!! Why on EARTH do you want to lose any weight, much less THIRTEEN pounds? If you decide you want to be a skeleton-like creature by weight, grab a scythe and lop one of your arms off. That will trim off the weight.

Exercise, eating healthy (no soda, no fast food), eating smaller portions, burning more calories than ou take in. I think for your size, you are a good size. I would maybe recommend muscle toning, but not weight loss.
