your girlfriend gains a few pounds ( around 5 ish ...) and perhaps looks less hot. Is that possible if you have a great, close relationship - would you still slightly stand back if that was the case? Since men are always looking for the top of the crop. Can that cause any coldness / problems from the side of the guy ?

well what I really mean is those pounds are all in the face - by "hot" I dont mean the body, just the face- but even personally it bugs me when girls (me in particular) have plump faces and I can see how (if it did) it would bother a guy if all of a sudden my face got fatter...

may be on a subconcious level ( I realize that only the biggest as*hole would voice it for such a small problem, but mentally perhaps it would still bother any guy??

5, 10, 20, pounds to me it doesn't matter...I'll still love her for her...now when you start talking about 50, 60,70, pounds that could be a problem...but only cause we would need a bigger bed and beds aren't cheap...with some guys it may matter if his gf gains 5 or 10 pounds but i would tell them go out and find a real man that doesn't mind a few extra pounds...we just look at it like a lil extra food on our plate...

Weight should not be an issue in any relationship. If a guy dumps you for gaining a little weight, he isn't worth your time anyway. People really need to learn to look beyond appearance and love people for who they are, not what they look like. That's what's wrong with the dating world today - so many people judging books by their covers. It sucks really.

looks is a very small part of what makes up a beautiful women if a guy really cares for you it shouldnt matter if you gain 50 lbs . if you gaining 5 lbs bothers him you might want to think twice about staying with him .. you deserve better

no.5 pounds is nothing. looks are not everything. just because all the guys you have been with have been shallow dickheads, does not mean all men are looking for the "top of the crop".

5ish not a problem... 15-20 -you tell the girl and she doesn't attempt to change or lose the weight; that's a problem.
