My husband recently began thinking about getting circumcised. Oddly enough i've never been with a circumcised man and didn't really know how to respond when he told me he was thinking about having it done? Is it really any different at all? Has anyone been in a similar situation? Well any answers/advice would help really.

Supposedly most women prefer circumcised. I think it just looks less funky and weird when it is circumcised. In addition, like 70% of the nerves in the Penis are in the foreskin (that number's a very rough estimate)...so the guy will lose a lot of sensitivity. This should help a woman because the guy will last longer in bed.

Your guy will be cleaner for sure...sensation for him will change somewhat...my brother says there's less sensation than before.

I was circumsised at birth...we look completely different and I have LOADS of sensation...*ahem*...
so I would venture to guess that sex will feel more or less the same for you; he'll just be missing the foreskin hes always had to maintain...before.

My brother says the first week "post op" is uncomfortable - have bactien and ice bags ready for the morning stiffy

Not really, he just wont have that flap of skin anymore. It really doesn't do anything. Plus a benefit to getting it done is it is cleaner, there is a lot of bacteria that can get under the foreskin and live there. This increases your chances of infections too (yeast and urinary).

My exhusband was not and I did not like it. I know a penis is not the most attractive thing in the world anyways, but yuck. Circumcised, to me, looks better.

unless he has a pressing medical reason for having this done, i don't recommend it at all. there will be a noticeable difference in feeling for him...he will have less sensation.
