GREAT QUESTION!!! I wished Mojo could know God and have a relationship with God and not confuse you with the MAD GOD doctrine of the Constantinian determined doctrine and dogma 350 years after Jesus was Crucified. The answer is he was flat out RADICAL, and thank God for his RADICALISM. It was a radical message he preach as a Hebraic Rabbi, that of a God that loves everybody regardless of linage, lifestyle, or past. Please, ask others that maintain you only get to the Kingdom of our Loving God through Jesus as a Savior because the day you were borne he was MAD AT YOU AS A BABY, a baby he created out of LOVE. Duh!!
In the temple before Jesus became the Christ, and before his crucifixion and in whatever manner you interpret the resurrection, He told the Hebrew Tax Collector, TODAY you have been justified by simply acknowledging a relationship with a loving God. Now that RADICAL, so radical it should scare the Hell out of those that spurt their doctrine and dogma of FEAR and then use contortions of biblical reference to justify it. Be Radically opinionated everyday about an all Loving God, and reference the RADICAL message and works of Jesus, then read the later writings (all of Paul's Stuff and then the apocalyptic writings of 100 years after the death of Jesus, and written to accommodate an established new faith tradition borne of man and his contorted dogma).
May the Peace of a Loving God Bless your Faith Journey.

No , I am glad there is freedom of speech in here, because that is why we have to such ignorant answers prior to the 3rd answer. No he was killed because of his teachings, just as the 3r person stated. He was not killed by the Romans. He was killed by the Jews of the day, The romans were only the heands that delt the blow, all of the So called Jewish rabbis didn't like the way he was converting their precious followers to something a litte less main stream. Didn't realize it would take hodl only faster with his death..

No, not at all.

See at that time there was a very strong church, much like the old Christian religion.

Jesus claimed he was the son of God and started saying and doing things that went against thier church. For instance: The church believed in stoning a woman who was found unpure. Jesus said, let the man without any sin cast the first stone.

The truth is Jesus died because he went against the church and that he claimed to be the son of God (which the church toke as hieracy). The Christian church in it's early days did simular things.

Example: Savonarola

Jesus died because it was gods will that Jesus die for the sins of the world, Past present and future. You want to know something God doesn't want op ions just believe in Christ and live eternal. Jesus was killed by a mob of sinners, yet over 5000 accepted his plan of salvation in less than 15 days. Now likely the rest of those sinners died in their sins. When anyone stands judgment in Gods court room only one question will be asked WHAT DID YOU DO WITH THE DEATH OF MY SON, JESUS
THE ANSWER WILL BE REJECTION...AND DEPART INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE FOREVER. Now that's Gods op ion of

As the Son of God, He was without sin. He was crucified because they felt he had committed blasphemy which he of course did not and He died for our sins. I take offense to anyone calling Jesus self righteous and opinionated brcause He is my Lord and Savior. He was persecuted then as He still is today by non believers but He loves us anyway though we are not worthy nor deserving.

There is quite a bit of "proof" that a man named Jesus of Nazareth walked the earth at that time in history and was crucified for "agitating the masses", claiming to be a prophet, and basically angering the Romans. Now, each individual must decide for him/herself what belief system or lack there of, which works best for them. Each of us has a right to decide for ourselves what we believe and nobody has a right to judge each other of force their own beliefs on others.

I do not know what you mean by "serious" answers only. Every answer here is serious, at least to one person. We do not have a right to decide what is serious and what is not. Perhaps you meant only answers which agree with your "question".

This is about the third time I'm answering this question. Jesus was executed for crimes against the state. The Romans were against him for saying he had power than the Emperor . At that time, it was an offence pinishable by death.
The Jews wanted him out of the way because he called himself God, which they didn't believe.

Jesus was killed because it was a part of the perfect plan for man's redemption.

The people in that time did not like what Jesus was saying, they hated his teachings, not because the teachings were wrong but because he claimed to be God. They didn't like the change from law that Jesus was presenting to them, because they were so set in their ways.

The REAL question is...how could Jesus be killed if there was no such person in the first place? Amazing how millions of people have bought into a complete fabrication!

The Romans were displeased because his teachings could stir up rebellion. "No master but God" does not make people eager to be ruled by foreigners. The Jewish authorities were displeased by his unorthodox teachings. With two different groups in power upset with him, Jesus was fighting an uphill battle to stay alive.
