I have a hard time putting down my one year old baby at night. My baby get up around 7:00 am. Then she is gets tires around 11:00, and I put her down for a nap. I let her sleep for about 1and 1/2 hours. I again put her down around 3:00 pm, and let her sleep around 1 to 2 hours. At 9:00 is her bed time and she fights me every time. I put her down for 2 naps because she is crankie and tired. What should I do to prevent the fighting at night?

Shorten both naps to about an hour. Eventually eliminate one of them.

Lessee, my 1 yr old got 2 naps, she took about an hour for the first one (roughly 9 am), and 1 1/2 for the second (around 1-1:30 pm) we let her stay up til 9:00 or whenever she fell asleep whichever came first (usually her falling asleep). She's 18 months now, she get's the 1st nap if she feels like napping or if she gets into one of those cranky moods, otherwise, her naptime is about 12:30 (right after lunch and diaper gets changed) and she goes for about 1 1/2-2 hours, she'll be fine until bedtime which is still when she starts to put herself down, or 9:00 whichever comes first. And she's still puts herself down more often by choice than by force.

It really depends on your child, but i would make her bedtime between seven thirty and eight PM if she continues to be tired. When she is cranky, try to talk to her soothingly, but dont let her see you when she is going to sleep in her crib or else she might think tht you are going to play with her and then when you leave she will get very upset which would make it even more dificult.
Dont pick her up right when she starts to cry, because then she'll think that you will do that every time. But also dont let her cry for a long time. she will probably settle down within a couple of minutes if you leave her, which would be an excellent habit to get into. Just dont leave her srying for more than about 5 minutes.

Every baby has a different personality and different levels of rest are required. Maybe you should shorten the afternoon nap to one hour and move her bedtime up to 8:30p.m.

try that for about one week and you will get results less of a fight at bedtime.

mine does that too. But she only fights it for about 20 minutes. Try having some "white noise" in the room - static of an AM radio station that doesn't come in works.
