Is all Christian truth there? What about the oral tradition before the Bible was canonized? How come mostly all Christians worship on Sunday? That came from the early Church because of the Resurrection. We worship on Sunday because of Tradition. No where in the Bible does it say that the Sabbath is on Sunday. Worship on Sunday goes against sola scriptura.

Greg: Right there is a foreshadow in the Bible of Sunday worship. I stand corrected. it was still oral tradition in those days. Notice how important breaking bread is.

Not all Christian truth is in the Bible. A lot of Christian truth is made up of sacred tradition.

All the truth is found in the Holy Spirit.

The bible is meaningless without the Holy Spirit. Unless it is for practical means but I am speaking from a spiritual perspective. Only thru the Holy Spirit can someone understand its meaning. The Holy Spirit can also teach you more in depth.

The oral tradition for the new testament the parables were recited by Jesus more times than once. So the Disciples had time to learn these stories or parables. There were many followers besides the 12 apostles. Sometimes dozens if not hundreds would gather at a time. So the parable were interpeted many ways. It was more common to know more than one language because of the mixture of cultures. You had those that spoke Aramaic, Greek and other languages. Look at the woman at the well where Jesus stayed for 3 days with the whole village. A different culture than his own. So there was interpetation to other languages with similiar meanings. But in ever case there are exceptions so that the concept or the point is understood. Like my wife is from a different culture and we speak different languages and her bible has slightly different meanings than mine. The concept of the meaning is there. Also during the time of Jesus there were different sects of Jews. Just like Christianity has different denominations. Pharisee, Sudacee and there were others.

As for the Old testament oral tradition I do not know. Moses saw the back of God and was able to write down everything from creation to the time of his day. So that really shows the power of God. There is no limitation of what the Spirit of God can do.

Jesus is the sabbath. Everyday is Holy. Or better understood like you have the Holy Spirit so everday is Holy.

The most important thing is you have the Holy Spirit. People dont understand everything. Thier are to many doctrines or churches. The only truth that out wieghs it all and teaches you the truth is following the Holy Spirit. Even Jesus told us that.

To answer your first question, yes, all truth is found in the Bible. Jesus said, "Sanctify them in truth; Your word is truth" (John 17:17). God has provided the Holy Spirit to make the Word understandable to us. "But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth" (John 16:15).

Regarding your question about the day of worship: the Bible does not say to worship exclusively on Sunday. This IS a tradition, as you have said.

The Bible does not teach that Sunday is the sabbath. The New Testament teaches that all fullness is in Christ, so every day is an opportunity to live a life before God, for God, and pleasing to God (which is worship). To single out a day and say, "This is when I worship" is anti-christianity and demonstrates a lack of understanding of what Christ has accomplished. Paul, several times, rebuked gatherings of Christians for observing days as more holy than others (Galatians 4:10 & Colossians 2:16).

Colossians 2:16 (Whole Chapter)
Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

Tradition is not important. In reality, we came up with the days of the week. For all we know God may have started his week on what we would call Wednesday. It was Jewish tradition to have the sabbath from sun down Friday till sun down Saturday. The purpose of a sabbath is not the holyness of Sunday, but the act of setting aside at tithe of time to God.

Tradition is dangerous, but questioning Gods word is worst. The Bible is the way God communicates with us. Remember that prior to the printing of the Bible the gospel was spread by the gifts of the spirit. The gifts were to be the proof and the teaching of the church. Now, the Word is the proof and teaching. " 8Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

9For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

10But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. "

Joh 21:25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

1Co 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

Act 20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

You know what I think---You could question every part of the bible and of the christian/catholic religion but you know what you will have in the end.? Questions that no one wants to answer or someone telling you just have to to have faith or that the bible is truth. So honestly dont bother asking this question. You will never get a realistic answer. I am not being mean just realistic.

Some cristians still worship on saturday. Sunday was mroe convinient to Catolics. And who cares about ppl before Crist?
Its not the question for Cristians. Cristians can't comprehend how GOD killed everything living on this planet in 40 days torture and mass murder. Do you think they care about oral traditions?
Do you think Cristians know that bible was assembled in 397AC by humans?
Common.
Therefore GOD exists.

All early written word was passed down orally. I'm sure some things have been left out of the bible though.

Again, here is much ado about nothing. Read the bible, don't just look for things to argue about. Which day you choose to worship is not important. What is important is that you worship the one true God. He didn't say "that whosoever believeth on Him and go to church on Sunday will have everlasting life." He said ""whosoever"! and that is pretty plain. There is one way to Heaven and that is Jesus. period/end of sentence...................

The bible is a work of both fiction and half-truths. It is, naturally, a very bigotted piece of work. Indeed the covering and the covering-up of slaughter in God's name is truly horrific. Mostly, it's based on myth and superstition and should not be taken seriously. Worryingly, there are some very insecure, gullible people who believe in every word. Help!
