I don't think commitment scares people that often. These days people just want to be sure about who they are with before they make the commitment.f

There is always hope. No one likes to be cornered or pushed into anything. If the relationship is going well and both are comfortable it is only natural for the next step to be a commitment. That takes time though, get to know each other first. Life is one big rat race today, people are always rushing through their days not taking time to smell the roses.

Take your time remember Rome wasn't built in one day either.

Its the binding of commitment that scares people but not the good points of it. It is not just a responsibilty but a cherishment and a sense of belonging only between 2 people that makes you, that loved one and so the world that little bit more special.

Yes. it certainly does in a world full of insecurities. But why should you seek commitment. Most relationships fade with the heat in the bed. Why not surf the field for new superstars and stick with them till one of you need a change. Surely, you cant eat fried eggs and sausages for breakfast for the rest of your adult life. Why then, the craving for simliar tedium in a marriage. Read Sir Bertrand Russell's Marriage and Morals. It wised me up significantly. Good luck if you are a guy and love and passionate kisses if you are a gal..

Commitment means different things to different people. I believe the trick is to find someone to whom commitment means the same as you.

There is plenty of hope. People just want to live life to the fullist and it is difficult to find someone that also feels that way. So that pretty much means they hold you back.

There's still hope.
You just have to find women intelligent enough to know the meaning of the word.

Look harder, the good ones are like apples.
You can grab the easy ones and get trash.
Or
You can work a little harder and get one worth having.

I dunno, some women are terrible at being in a committed relationship (I should know, I've met a few of them......) Saying that, about half the guys I know are even worse.

There's still gotta be some hope. I'm hanging on every bit I can get hold of!!!!!
