to go
But "ir" is used also in constructions where it means nothing itself or indicates a tense:
ir a parar - to end up
vas muy guapa - you look very smart

I could be wrong since it's been a long time since I took Spanish in High School but I think Ir is the not conjugated verb "To Live" or is it "To Go" I know it is one of those. It is irregular too so it was a pain to conjugate that is all I remember!

I think it means "to go", but I'm not sure. try refering to a book called 501 Spanish verbs, it has all the conjugations in spanish, and what the word means in english.

ir in english is the verb to go.
eg.voy a ir al teatro..I am going to go to the theatre.
The conjugation in the present tense is actually as follows:
voy- I go/ I am going
vas - you go {informal}
va- he, she, it goes, also, you go {formal}
vamos- we go; vais- you all go{plural} ;van- they go

it means to go.
But when you use it in present it makes:
voy
vas
va
vamos
vais
van
So the infinitve is very different.
