Quite contrary to what Sapphros_momma said, this nation may have once been founded on "Christian" beliefs, yet it is no longer. It's hard to just say "Christian" anymore, because every one (or just about every one) wants to say they're Christian, but they're really not.
I am a God-fearing, Bible-believing, serving-Jesus Christian (that may have sounded trite, but I'm fine with that). I gave my life to the Lord when I was 10 or 11 years old, and my choice did make a difference. I know that if I hadn't given my life to the Lord, I would be like any other person out there, depressed, anxious, given to fear, getting myself into worlds of trouble, and so much more. I thank God that I gave my life when I did, because not only do I not deal with those issues as mentioned previously, but I have a peace and a joy. I have something that many other people don't have, and it's hard for me to explain all that God has done for me in this simple answer.

I am a Christian for too many reasons to keep it simple. Logically and spiritually it just makes sense. Jesus made it perfectly simple. It makes all the difference in the world. People who disagree, take some time to actually READ something before you form an opinion.
By the way, all of America is not Christian. All of America is mostly pagan.

I'm a Christian, but non-practicing. I go to a Catholic school so I go to school liturgies and learn about Christianity but I don't practice any religious rituals at home.
I can't consider myself a true Christian but I do believe in God. I don't like the fact that a lot of Christians are not open to other point of views. I just don't think it's necessary for me to follow specific religious teachings in order to have good values. I'm not a rebel but that's because I chose not to be one, not because I'm afraid I'll go to hell. I think it's ridiculous when Christians say that non-Christians are "lost". After all, I don't need to be 'called' to be loving or thoughtful or generous; I do it willingly. :-p
So being a Christian doesn't really make much of a difference for me. I'm still a moral, compassionate person even without my religion. I believe in God because I like the idea that there's someone out there who has some sort of control over everything. But that's basically it.

I am a Christian! It makes a difference because I am called to love. I am not here to condemn anyone! I know there are those who think that we should scare people with the fire and brimstone approach but that is not what we are called to be! I hope that the love I show is pure and a light to other people. And If it doesnt make a huge difference to many on earth, it will make a difference in the end because I will still live...in heaven with Him!
"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is Love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him."

I accepted Christ when I was really young, but I started realizing what being a Christian meant when I was 13. My dad came out of remission (he's still alive, praise God!), and I just suddenly realized that I actually needed to act on all the stuff I was hearing about in church. I still struggle with following God, of course. And my life is not all sunshine. But I have peace when I turn to God with my problems cuz He can manage them way better than I can. And I have joy looking forward to what He has planned for me here on earth, and what He has waiting for me in heaven. And I have a Friend I can always count on, to speak truth and love into my life.

I am a christian because it is the only thing that makes sense in this world. It changed my whole life when the Holy Spirit came in and took over. I experienced a complete change, and all for the better. I have never been happier than I have for the past 30 years with Christ.

I am Christian Gnostic.
I've chosen this path because it feels right. I was Wiccan for a few years and realized that, while as beautiful as a religion can be, it simply wasn't the path for me. I found Gnosticism and fell in love. I feel that it has brought me closer to God and I simply love it.
I, in no way, try to convert others because what they do with their lives is none of my business. If I am asked about my faith, which I have been now, I will answer to the best of my abilities.

I am! All the way!! Why? Well, I have found church and Jesus to be the best thing that has ever happened to me. I would give my life for my God. How much difference does it make?? Well, Nature itself gives us witness that there must be a God. If there is a God, don't you think He cares about what you do, how you live your life? He DID create us, after all. I believe that the Bible holds your answer. I Double-dog-dare you to study it.

Keep it simple? I'll try. Imagine that you've been carrying a heavy backpack your entire life, thinking that that weight was normal...and then it is suddenly removed. What a difference! That's what God's forgiveness is like.
