Most certainly!

On a personal level, they judge and criticize me for not being religious. I feel no compunction to let that go unchallenged.

On a civic level, they are responsible for many of the laws that affect me. Again, I feel no compunction to let that go unchallenged.

Morally, it is my obligation to help them see the error of their ways.

If people who are religious can judge and criticize -- what makes it incorrect or wrong if atheists do the same.
Atheist -- dont believe in God. But they do believe in the fact (as they see it) that there is no God. That is belief too. They are usually more knowledgeable about religion and God as they read and study it more than religious people (non fanatics, I mean).
I am religious not an atheist. But believe everyone has the same right to do what they want.

No and they should not criticize or judge those who are not. There lays the answer to the worlds problems. Peace is not achieved by criticizing and judging others beliefs, culture, race, etc... or through superior firepower. Peace is achieved when one sees the other as an equal. To sway one, or cause one to believe in your way of thinking you must show the example. Not picking here, but for example: Christian belief is that all are created by God and that God sent his son Jesus to die on the cross for all mankind's sin - This being true, and Jesus taught and preached Love not war and he showed this by example, by healing the sick, etc....To the point of even going to the cross and never once lashing out, with profanity, or violence against those carrying out the punishment. If their Savior was the example then they in like should continue as their Savior in Love and Peace, never lashing out in any forum with criticism and judgment, because is it not God who is the final judge. So a little long but my answer is NO, nobody should judge or criticize!

No. It is your choice to not be religious. Just as those of us who have a relationship with Jesus Christ should not judge those who choose not to believe in the Lord, we pray for you. Those who do not believe in The Lord will find out the truth on judgement day. Wouldn't it just be better for the sake of your soul, to just give the Lord a try? What would it really hurt? Just a thought. If you ended up really not agreeing with what the Bible says, then you can say you were at lease informed, right?

I'm not religious, and I don't think people should criticize or judge those who are, but it is fine to question why others are.

I believe not only should we criticize them, but it is out duty to do so. We should laugh and poke fun at their silly beliefs at every turn. We should make them cry and feebly defend their blind faith in an imaginary king of the universe. Just as Christians believe it is their duty to go out and spread the word and force people to follow their doctrine, so should us non believers have the same gusto and push our criticism down their throats every chance we can get. If you think Christianity was spread solely by people peacefully accepting Jesus then you are a fool. It was forced on people with the threat of death. So I don't think a little healthy criticism is unwarranted. Do you?

Everyone criticizes. Is it wrong? It depends if your the one doing it. The religious people should not judge, but i know they do. Take it in stride, try not to be offended and life will be a lot easier.

Yes you know why because we have no God that says we should not judge or criticize.

So shouldn't it be if you are religious should you be criticizing or judging people?

im so sick of hearing "do not judge people"

thats retarded

look every single day of our lives we judge people whether we want to or not, when you choose a mate you are judging, when you look at a homeless person you make a mental judgment, when you are choosing friends you make judgments

if someone believes that someone else is just plain living wrong or doing something wrong then he has an absolute right to judge that person as not someone he wants to hang out with

Sure! Zealots need whacked on the head at regular intervals. Just because they're nuts about a given belief system doesn't mean they have the right to shove it down the throats of others. Because someone have religion does not grant them immunity from common sense.

But, that works both ways. If you don't know what you're talking about, it's best to keep your mouth shut. Who knows? You might learn something. :-)
