Yes, basic philosophy tells us that there is a god(s) and that only one understanding of this, which is what we call religion, can be true.

Those who say that all religions are true or that no religion can be true have not studied enough philosophy or have been poorly educated. The idea that all is true is nonsense because religions contradict each other about basic truth claims. The idea that no religion is true is the equivalent of saying "The one truth is that there is no truth".

What the one god(s) is and what religion is true is the longer conversation.

Of course I know. Before coming to this country I thought that there were many religions and that it was not a problem which one you had as long as you were sincere. But since I came here and I saw what other religions do, I realized that I was wrong. There is only one true religion ( with many defects, because where there are people, nothing is perfect, because we are not perfect ) and it is being Catholic

Oh really? (sarcasm btw)
There's no "true" religion. And there's the god and goddess who are one and the same and reside in all that they have created (you could say that's one god). I'm not going to try to tell you that you're wrong, but there are plenty of religions that believe in only one God and that they're the only true religion. How do you know that you're right?

Did you know that religion is created by man and not by God, so there may be only one God, but there are many religions. Who's to say which one is right?
It also says in the Bible "judge not lest ye be judged"...to look down upon someone for their religious beliefs is in fact going against God.

I can say only one god, But not one true religion...
God can manifest Itselves in various forms and feelings. Its really foolhardy attempt to try to catch all that Brilliance, Benevolence, and Omnipotent love in any one religion. Cause the moment you say religion, one has to understand that its always based on certain tenets, which are over a period of time cannonised and become rigid thereby limiting that religion. So it always more than one Religion.. Its the belief in God..than in Religion...without the bindings, without the fear of hell ..without the fear of burning...in hell ..and .without the fear of losing the GOD

Really? You'd better let all the other religions know that, then. They'll feel silly when they realize they're not "real".
That's sarcasm, by the way...
I don't believe in God and I don't belong to any religion. I think it's all a waste of time and energy.

the funny thing is after careful study of afterworld (monroe institute and out of body experiences) i am convinced that the other side (after we die) is very much like a star trek holodeck. except that what programs the deck to be what it is isnt a computer but your sub-conscious. therefor whatever your beliefs have built up inside your sub-con is the area you will go when you leave here. if you grow up catholic you will go to a catholic heaven (in a (what monroe calls focus level 24-26)area specifically made for that belief system and the people of that belief. if you do negative things and hurt people then you will end up following the energy inside you that creates that to a hell that you learn what its like when it happens to you. its rather interesting. i suggest a person actually attempt to study spirituality and the other side before you come away thinking this religion or that spirtuality is " theee ONE TRUE CHURCH of GOD" and the same goes for thinking nothing exsists if you think that way when you cross over your consciousness will be there in total darkness unable to see anything due to your sub con thinking nothing exsists on that side of life!

Yes there is only one God his is the same god that created Adam (pbah) sent messages to Noah, Lot, Abraham, and Jesus (pbat) but the message got messes up. Then he sent his final message to the people of the world through Muhammad (pbah). Islam is the one true religion.
