A very good question. If you think about it sometimes God is a man and other times God is a woman.
Some of the things God is responsible for show clearly that its a woman!

Right. He's not man or woman He's a spirit. God is traditionally referred to as "He", and although I'm a woman I'm insulted when anyone says God is a "she". I think only a sense of inferiority on the part of women would make them think it sexist. We all know that men aren't any closer to being God than women - the same as women aren't any closer to being ships than men, even though ships are traditionally referred to as "she".

God has no gender but when you encounter Him, Her or It, He can be whatever you need Him to be. A lot of people seem to need a father figure, in which case He appears to you as male. Now and then we need to go back to when we were very young and suckling: then God becomes the most loving, protective mother we have ever known or needed. At other times we just need an explanation of the Universe and then God becomes genderless and is the driving force, the energy within everything.
The truth is, He is so great, that we cannot ever understand Him completely - only in small parts. When we talk to Him personally, he appears as whatever we need to perceive because He loves us so deeply.
(I write of Him as 'He' only because that is what my need is.)

When God created man, She was only practising.
How do I know, because I was told this by an authority that wishes to remain aloof from all this debate. I was told that She is short for her stature, looks far younger than her years, is (dare I say it) heavier than the average (but not a lot) and has a tan to her skin that makes any attempt at guessing ethnicity, impossible.

According to many people....Jesus was "the son of God" and God was his father...therefore making him a man....but honestly I would say that God is neither man or woman...but more of an entity or symbol.

He's supposed to really be an It. (sexless) And by the way, you can't use mary as an example of why he'd have to be a he, because what you're saying is "He had sex with the Virgin Mary, so he has to be a He" What happened to her being a Virgin?

A man and a woman are real things. God isn't. thus God is neither man nor woman. Like an asexual then.

God is neither a single man nor a single woman!
Take a cell and zoom in, there is a neucleus, then atom, then sub atomic particles, then quarks, then energy.
Everything is pure energy ...
God is everything! - God is pure energy!
