Yeah, it's OK unless he is a traditional man. My husband told me that he was grateful I didn't do it first. After all, you get to plan the wedding, the vows and honeymoon pretty much belong to the guy.

If you really want to propose do it afterwords. Say something like. "Now I have said I will marry you but will you marry me?" and give him a ring that is macho or a set of baseball tickets. You get the idea.

Actually it would be much better if women proposed to me because 99% of the time we cant tell what women are thinking

The man is supposed to be the leader in the relationship. He should do it. I know it's hard to wait, but as a woman- we are supposed to.

I think it is ok i proposed to my husband. He was so sweet i asked him and he said "well yes ma'am" we were married within a week. he now says he is glad i did it because he wasn't going to unless he knew for sure it is what i wanted. our 4 year anniversary is in sept.

So yeah go for it.

You should wait. Even these days, it just looks desperate. Maybe one day, we women will get out of that "gotta-get-married-now" stereotype, but until then, wait it out sistah. If he really wants to get married, for know, he knows his role. Besides, if you guys haven't really really agreed upon it yet, you could send him running for the hills.

It's not 'not ok' but it is kind of weird. Wait for him.
