I had two amps in my car, a sub, and four spks. The spks were putting out a very loud, very high pitched noise, like that of a DJ scratching records, so I turned the car off and unplugged the amp connected to the spks. When I went to start the car, I heard the bass thump once, and then everything went dead. I cannot start the car. However, when I put the key in, the car beep signaling that the doors are opened still goes off, so electricity is still flowing. Can anyone help me restart my car?

I'm sorry but all these answers suck. For the price and range of everything and the amount of options and quality. ALPINE, ALPINE, ALPINE. For the past couple of years I have been buying and selling different stereo equipment. I have owned Pioneer, Eclipse, and Clarion head units. My mom got me a new Alpine CDA 9886 for Christmas and the usability and sound quality were better than all the other decks i have owned. it also looks the best. I have a pair of Focal Polyglass coaxial speakers that I paid $300 for. After breaking them in and owning them for about a year I decided I didn't like them so after installing the Alpine deck and really enjoying it I went out and bout a pair of type r coaxial speakers from Best Buy for $150. Half the price of the Focals. They are not broken in yet and are being powered with 50 watts a channel even though they rms at 100 watts a channel. The type R's are so much better. Basically in every way. I have also owned Pioneer speakers, Kenwood speakers, MTX amp, Kicker subwoofer, oooolllldddd Alpine V-power amp etc. So far Alpine seems to be the leader. I just wish they were not so huge because liking Alpine means that I have to like Best Buy for carrying them. Obviously there are many brands that are better, but for the price Alpine is a true contender. Trust me, I am NOT an Alpine Fanboy. In fact if I was rich I probably would not have a single Alpine component in my car stereo. Hope this helped.

Well hopefully you taped off the power wire going to the amp you disconnected and it didnt send power to the frame of your car cause if you did you could have fried anything include the cars cpu which is expensive as hell if you did that and you do get the car to start i would take it to a shop or make sure that everything that might be a safty hazard is working before you start driving
