If I'm not mistaken you're not Caucasian. I'm African American. When ever I go to the pool or the water park I make sure that I bring a real good shampoo and conditioner with me to wash out the chlorine immediatly. Chlorine eats away at your hair and the relaxer that's in your hair to keep it straighted. I personally wait at least week before getting into chlorinated water. Make sure you wash your hair out really well afterwards. Good Luck. Hope it helps.

All anyone has to wait after a perm to get their hair wet, either under the faucet or in a pool is only 24 hours, but the longer, the better. But how in the world can anyone go for more than 24 hours and not wash their hair? It STINKS!!! Wash it after 24 hours.

The chemical components utilized in swimming pools and warm tubs to condition the water and administration fungus and micro organism boost (at the same time with chlorine) can be particularly harsh to the hair under wide-spread situations, and to permed hair they may be doubly so in case you aren’t careful. I propose waiting a minimum of three days after perming formerly you get your hair moist in a swimming pool. this could ideally be when you’ve had your first shampoo and conditioning therapy submit-perm.
