Could we protect ourselves if the chinese came across the mexican border acting like visitors? Almost all of our men are spread out all over the world.

A strong Democratic party. They would be the only ones who could appease the Chinese. We could capitulate and ask to be spared. Heck, the Chinese may even let some the Democrats join the new Chinese-American Communist party.
Of course, all Republicans would have to be "re-educated"; those who failed would have to be "terminated" (except for John McCain...the Chinese like him).
Shoot, we could even get rid of those pesky Christians...the ACLU would be all for that. Ever see what the Chinese do to "trouble-makers"?

How many chinese? How are they deployed? What type of Equipment? Yes there will be resistance. It isn't so much a matter of what we would need as what we could get and what we already have. There are many Americans who have thought about things like this before. Some even train for it on their own. Basically what they would have is food, water, small arms, some automatic weapons, some explosives, sniper rifles, and a variety of incidental items. A lot of improvising would have to take place. Would likely try to obtain mortars and rockets from natl guard armories. um...you expecting something soon?

I believe so because American people aren't just going to lay down and let some country invade us. We still have soldiers here and we would know if the chinese were coming anyway. There is no way a chinese army could act as visitors and invade us. Also, we have allies

Even if Democrats were in the White House and they chose not to defend this country and surrendered, it would still take time for the Chinese to take over the entire country. Some Americans would fight a Gorilla War for as long as it takes to win back our freedom. Some Americans would simply believe that we can't win and resign to live under Communism.

There wouldn't be enough bullets in the United States to defend agains a mainland invasion from China! Just be thankful there isn't a land bridge between north america and china...

We have over 1.4 million soldiers, overseas we have less than 356,00 that includes Iraq, Afghanistan, Germany, Japan, Italy, UK & misc countries. We have 1,166,195 inland, 35,810 Hawaii, 17,989 Alaska & 120,666 afloat (on board a ship). I think you can safely sleep tonight. While all are not combat soldiers, all have had combat training in their basic training.

well its difficult to go to war with any country, gone are the days of bows and arrows now there are weapons of mass distruction and chemical war fare well nothing very much can protect you from this because the whole world will suffer forget about protection and think about preventing war

Why in the world would the Chinese be in Mexico? I think they have their hands full dealing with Taiwan. They're not stupid.

Also consider most of our population is armed. We practice our skills on deer and other delicious targets. No, I don't believe we would ever be physically invaded.
