Read this book: "Painless Grammar" by Rebecca Elliott, Ph.D. It actually is a painless book, unlike other books about grammar, and it actually is quite funny!
EDIT: Reading a lot of books will make you writing be influenced by others and you will also gradually learn correct grammar. (EDIT done)
Writing will help your writing skills, but will not help your grammar because you will not know the correct way to write. Actually, you would get so accustomed to writing with incorrect grammar that you wouldn't notice the grammar flaws and you would have a hard time reversing to correct grammar. I would know, I used to be HORRIBLE at grammar!
