we had issues but the split relationship is incomplete. Wh haven't talked for 3 days. He has had major kid problems. He is 57 and I am 53.

Obviously he has not ended the relationship in his heart. Even if he takes the picture down it doesn't mean his feelings have moved on but at this time he is choosing to try to resume some semblance of normalcy in his life. If you do not want to lose him now is the time to make some concessions, rekindle the relationship and salvage either friendship or the romance. It sounds like he is very torn between his love for you and the love of his children. Give him some space to miss you but leave the door open if you do not want the matter to end.

Maybe the picture is cute. Just because he has it on his desk does not mean he still wants you. It's like he has something to show for the past relationship.

Well that means the feelings he has were deep, yes deep enough where he stills wants to feel like you are there. One day it will be gone or you will be back home. But that just means he is still holding on to some feelings, but feelings do fade so get ready.

nothing. It means nothing. I still have pictures of ex-boyfriends up. One of the guys is in a great picture with fun memories. Not memories of him but the place in the back round. The other I am just lazy about taking it down. I barely look at my pictures so I am in no hurry to take them down.

Maybe he forgot to remove your pic. Give him some time. If his kids are a distraction, wait and see if once the kid issues are resolved he might look you up.
