I won a US DV Visa Lottery and I understand that I'll need a financial sponsor who will fill out an I-134 Affidavit of Support for me, how do I know who's qualified to be my financial sponsor?

For the DV lottery, you can use anyone who is in the US legally, makes enough money per the poverty guidelines, and is willing to serve as your sponsor.

The I-864 form and the prior years' tax returns are not required; those are only needed for family-sponsored immigrant visas. For the DV, just the I-134 is needed.

It can be anyone with adequate income who is willing to sponsor you. Go to the immigration website for more info and also you can e-mail them with questions. They usually answer within 24 hours. I saw a form on there somewhere that shows the income requirements. They have to be above the poverty level for the amount of people they have to support & will have to provide the last 3 years federal income tax returns.

I think the question is, where would you find that qualified financial sponsor,
well if you found someone,, contact the immigration and ask for the information on how to apply and they would send your forms for your sponsor..
