It's computers and SMS use. People have lost their notions of correct spelling and grammar.

Some people are just in too much of a hurry, and the public schools don't teach ANYTHING today. I have been home schooled all my life and think I'm a much better speller because of this (as well as historian, because I can learn what I know is real and not what the teacher thinks is real). And hey, cut the person some slack we all make typos!

(By the way doesn't everyone know there is a spell check button above the answer box?)

Well, some people really don't know how to spell but then again, we DO have spell check available. Some others are not from America and are having a difficult time with our language. Then there are others who just don't care how they spell as long as they get their point across. Guess this shows how important a good education follows us through life, huh?

I think this really is one of the burning questions that I have as well. I get it that kids are lazy and just want to skip all vowels. Of course then they get all bent because they get stupid answers. But some of the spelling is just sad. Now I can see why some people home school....

We are just excited and feel that our thoughts are more important than correcting words. We figure people are smart enough to figure out what the words really are.
Hey party-girl really knows her grammar haha.
OMG I am lazy... I don't want to click on that button with the check mark and the abc next to it.

I Cant really agree with most of the answers here.
Especially after everyone got into the whole "English isn't a primary language" thing...
I can understand when someone isn't a native English speaking person. they will have more GRAMMAR mistakes than spelling.
But I really think the question was targeting people. that say.
Wit(with),2(to),4(for),tis(this) that kind of thing....typing or TALKING like that makes you sound ignorant and uneducated.

Possibly for the same reason that you do not know to to use proper grammar, nor can you put a sentence together. You can't spell either. Check your question out.
