I am a female in the state of Michigan and I am bi. I am a shy person and don't go out much. I know there are gay bars around but am afraid to go to them, because I am so shy. I want to look for someone to be with but don't know how to go about doing that.

Well the fact that you've overcome part of your shyness and asked the question on a site like this means that you are moving in the right direction.
Gather up some of the courage and daring it took for you to post your question here, and channel it into either logging onto a Internet dating site, a or even asking a friend to go to a gay bar with you so you are not alone in a unfamiliar environment. It's not as if when you go to the bar you'd expect to leave with someone new that very night so having a friend will keep you grounded and be your safety net.
You've shown you have some guts, go on, show us a little bit more!

go to a gay bar you will be more safe there they will all be in the same position as you so just go someone will talk to you i'm sure and even if you dont fancy them then they could have friends,be safe you never know who you are talking to on the internet so dont get into anything whare you give out you address to somone over the net, good luck be lucky,

well i wud try and get out of ur shyness and go to the gay bars bcuz the ppl in ther r just the same as u and will understand how u feel hope my advice works 4 u good luck xxx

you should really try and get out a? how you supossed to meet people otherwise? you dont really want to rely on the net coz of the crack pots you do get on here, yes there may be really nice people but you never know till you meet some one thats why ur best bet is to go out mk freinds then decide from there best of luck!
