So Aten worship and Assur monotheism happened AFTER ahura Mazda founded Zoroastreanism? It's not actually monotheistic by the way. At best it can be said to be duo theistic.

Actually, that's incorrect. Zoroastrianism is NOT a monotheistic religion. It's a bitheistic religion. It has two gods: the good, gentle, loving Ahura Mazda, and his evil twin brother, the evil, savage, hateful Ahriman.

Wrong. Monotheism existed in Egyptian culture periodically, and some historians speculate that the first religions were monotheistic.

Yes, Egypt did have the Sun God (can't remember the exact name) but that was monotheism. Then even before that Voodoo existed and they believe that one God created all the universe but is to busy to attend to eveyones problems and that is why God created a whole bunch of sub-gods or spirits that we can interact with in rituals or dance. There might be something similiar to this in earlier African religions. Africa is where us humans all originate from you know.

I think there have always been both monotheists and polytheists just as there have always been democracies and kingships.
