Yes there are a few options you could go with. Motion detectors will sense both humans and any other moving object and you can get those for around $30. Thermal sensors will be more likely to detect humans only, but large mammals could also easily trigger it. You'll be needing to spend at least $10,000 for a good system of this kind.

You can get a motion sensor, but nothing that can tell the difference between a human and another animal or object

Assuming I'm reading the question that you are looking for a body underground, you can use ground-penetrating radar like they did in the Mythbusters episode where they were searching for Jimmy Hoffa. ;)

I presume you could rent such units.
