This is a man who works on my parents ranch. I know that he is padding is hours, stealing small things like towels, purchases things for himself when given credit to purchase items for the ranch and uses the facilities like his personal playground. He has also been inappropriate and even belligerent in his behavior towards me. My parents are older and need help, but they need a catalyst to get rid him and find someone honest. They feel trapped and I'm trying to help them.

My parents are afraid to fire him. They are older, as I said, and are worried about finding someone else. I have taken on the task of finding a replacement, but I think he needs to leave the country. He is taking advantage of elderly people adn has been belligerent to me and I understand my parents fear of him.

uh...nightrider, maybe you should read the question before you answer. He isn't illegal, I didn't hire him and my problem with his belligerence is minor in comparison to the thievery that he is committing.

you already have proof of his illegal activities in the form of your parents' credit card invoices. If he is making unauthorized purchaes, it is theft, credit card fraud, and uttering a forged document, or any combination of the above, and maybe a few I'm unaware of. Simply highlight the suspect purchases, notify the bank who issued the card, and notify the local Police and or Magistrate that you wish to press charges for the unauthorized use of the credit card. Best of luck to you.

This is lot deeper than what you are saying.

The whole thing stems from the fact he is belligerant towards you. You just don't like him. This is the crux of the matter.

When you knew back when you hired him he was illegal. Why did you keep him employed so long? You are at fault. Sorry, I have to tell you this so that you will be careful with the next employee.

You want to get rid of him? You are the employer, so you can do that.

Think about your parents. Find a replacement first. A legal one this time with proper background check.

You need not be so vindictive to him and turn him in. Just catch him in the act, tell him why you are firing him and get rid of him.
Police will do the rest.

You do not need such people around you - or anyone - for that matter.

His belligerant behaviour towards you is the underlying motive to say "you're fired" of course.

It seems more to me, that you are being left out of your parents welth, maybe you never work to deserve to inheritage that ranch, looks that your parents, trust more an stranger than their own blood.
But if you are right, if you are rightfull in their will, you have all the right to call an investigation. But seems very obvious that you have no saying of what happen in that ranch.
Maybe a reality check will serve you good.
And a long talk with your parents

Go to the INS web site and you'll find out how you can anonymously report illegals. However, if he is here on a work Visa, you can not deport him. But if he breaks the law you can have him put in jail. If he stole personal property, file a citizens arrest.

If he is stealing report him and get law enforcement officials involved. As soon as he is convicted of a crime his work visa is history. Just use a little sleuthing and don't let him know until you are ready to have him arrested. Tell your parents what is going on and get them on your side. They are the actual plaintiffs in all this.

Video cams are great, but I gotta ask, who supervises him and signs his paychecks?

For all you know your parents let him have the run of the place, or worse - fear him.

If the job opens up let me know!

Reporting deportation is handled by Home Security now. They love law breakers.

You need to catch him breaking the law. If he's purchasing stuff for himself on company money, that's embezzlement. Stealing is unquestionably illegal...Can you find your belongings in his home? Most non-citizens who break the law are sent back home.

Oh that's a tough issue! I'm so sorry this guy is such a moron. Have you tried confronting him about the stealing?? If caught, you could definetely call the police!

It sounds like he needs to be fired, not necessarily deported. If you could prove crime sufficient for him to be arrested, it might follow from there. But if you are really saying they want him gone but are frail and intimidated to say so, they could hire his replacement first and make it the replacement's first job to see them through it.
