No they shouldn't; and those people that are so close-minded, religious, bigots that oppose same sex marriage is just worrying about petty things that do not hurt them. They have forgotten what love is.

Our country was founded on certain principles, some Biblical ones included.
Some people oppose same sex marriage for a number of reasons, one being it breaks down the traditional family.
I oppose it because I'd have to talk myself into it to accept it; and it goes against everything I've been taught.

I think that the gov't should be able to uphold moral values (that being what is good for safety of the people), and if that includes the same values that most religions have, then yes. In my own opinion, there was a reason that male AND female were created and not just one gender, and i also think that the natural order of things should be carried out.

No, I don't believe so. What ever happened to the first amendment? And as to same sex marriage, I'm perfectly fine with it. I don't understand why they have to ban marriage, they're going to be homosexual whether they're married or not, if they're so narrow minded why don't they just make being a homosexual illegal? I'm straight, but I think people should be able to marry whether they are straight, bisexual, or homosexual.

The government is explicitly forbidden to establish an official religion (see the First Amendment).
It was recently considered "unnatural" and "offensive" for blacks to marry whites, and for women to vote or hold paying jobs or wear trousers.
This is America, people. No majority (no matter how large) gets to withhold rights from any minority.

Anytime a society compromises it's moral standards, it has taken it's first step towards it's demise.Greece, Rome, Cathay ect...ect. All had those types of unnatural affections common place near the end of their dominance. Biblical views not withstanding, it is destructive behavior that leads only to more destruction.

I am a christian. Why do I oppose same-sex marriage? Because it is not a real marriage, that's why. It's unnatural and offensive to me. How can a homosexual actually compare their " relationship" to the one that I have with my husband? PLEASE!!
