According 2 my opinion, HITLER is the 1. Although Stalin killed 40 million Russians (on a local scale), he did transform Russia from a war torn country 2 one of the 2 powerful nations in the world. He inspired communism 2 be tried all over the world by modernizing a communist Russia. If u r an American, u should better consider Stalin. Because of him this BUSH the sucker made his way through the presidential elections. Hitler destroyed Germany, invaded France, Russia etc. and by doing so destroyed their economy. If Hitler wasnt there the world was going 2 be a lot peaceful.

Interesting question. If you measure them by how many people that they 'ordered' to be killed, I'd have to say Stalin. However, if you consider how much destruction and total deaths they caused as opposed to anything good they may have done (Stalin helped to defeat the Nazis) then I would have to say that Hitler was the worst. Anyone who suggests Bush is a total moron.

Depends on how you look at it. Hitler was indeed the cause of millions of deaths, but we often forget the others involved, Tojo, Muselinni, ect.. But Stalin inflicted the bulk of his terror on his own people. Evil that most are not even aware of. From The Gulags to the wholesale murder of POW's years after WWII was over. Neither should be weighed against each other. Each should be studied as individuals.

surprisingly, stalin killed a lot more people than hitler. the big difference is that hitler was mainly after jews, gays, gypsies, jehovah's witnesses etc, whereas stalin would have anyone killed. also, stalin was in power a lot longer than hitler, so had more years to kill and also more people to choose from to kill.
