Personally, I think he's a little 'out there'. He's very flamboyant in a way, and highly publicized... almost trying to get all the attention to HIM and HIS book and not the message he's trying to convey... As Christians, we're to bring glory to the LORD not to ourselves, which I kind of get the feeling is what he's trying to do.

I really am unsure what the question is here. Are you attempting to get others to dog someone else, the person you refer to as "Joel Osteen"? Why would you wish to do this? Honestly, I am wanting to understand why someone who is declaring they are a christian would wish to start a gossip and slander campaign against another child of God. If you do not like this person for some reason, then fine, but try to act as Jesus would want you to and not out of anger or disappointment.
Sorry, I just do not find any satisfaction in slander or back biting. I would like to see other "Christians" refrain as well.

I think he seems like a very happy person. I'm pretty sure there are things he teaches that I don't agree with. But he seems like a good person who is excited about life.
I've only seen one of his sermons. It wasn't specifically aimed at one denomination. (He never taught anything that went against my beliefs, even though I'm a non-traditional Christian). And he never asked for money donations. Unlike other preachers I've seen on tv. I was quite impressed with his ability to capture the audience's attention too. From that sermon, I got the impression that he was trying to help people to live better lives as Christians.

REMEMBER THIS: you do not have to send MONEY to ANYBODY just because they ask you to, and some might even tell you to. GO to GOD in prayer BEFORE you send money to ANYBODY and be SURE it is of GOD!!!! That is your right , to CHECK it out with the MAIN MAN(JESUS) FIRST!!!!!! NOW, if you want to get BLESSED for giving MONEY, then GIVE TO THE POOR, PERSONALLY IF YOU CAN!!!!! IT's in the BIBLE, GOD said it FIRST, if you help out the POOR, HE (GOD ALMIGHTY) will REMEMBER you in YOUR troubles!!!!! YOU don't have to ask anybody if that is TRUE, READ it YOURSELF!!!!
Osteen's O.K. in my books(personal opinion) I don't think that he get's very DEEP in the WORD of GOD, at least not what he Preach's on T.V., but he's good at lifting you up (mentally and maybe Spiritually) and we all need that down here on EARTH----Yeah, if I had a little extra-money I would send him a little, but only after I checked-out if that money was being used to help the POOR, whether they were in the Familly of GOD(if we don't help our FAMILY, were WORST than INFIDEL's) or out in the World. Then I would CHECK it out with GOD by PRAYING, to see what HE would have me to do.......Hope this helps.......
p.s. No matter who is Preaching or Teaching the WORD, EAT the HAY and THROW away the Stick's.. GOD can talk through any-one HE want's to, we should be LISTENING for HIS VOICE, not the voice of man(what a man, male or female, think's)......

He is, like every other christian evangelist, a charlatan and a con-man.
His million dollar home should speak volumes about his priorities...
